Chao Phraya river, đường thủy quan trọng nhất của đất nước, chảy qua Bangkok và kết thúc vào Vịnh Thái Lan ở Samut Prakan.

Từ That Wat Ratchasingkhon Pier, bạn có thể đón một chiếc thuyền taxi đi trên sông. Đây đồng thời là cách tham quan tuyệt nhất sông Chao Phraya và thưởng thức được toàn bộ cảnh vật dọc bờ sông. Ngồi trên thuyền ngắm cảnh, bạn sẽ có một hình dung tương đối rõ về đời sống ở Bangkok, nhìn thấy những ngôi nhà gỗ được dựng trên mặt nước, thấy trẻ em bơi lội và chơi đùa, cảm nhận được mùi vị, hình ảnh và ẩm thực của một đời sống thực. Qua 2 cầu Phra Pok Klao Bridge (Bangkok Metropolis (Krung Thep Maha Nakhon)) _bê tông và cầu thép cũ Memorial Bridge (Phra Phutta Yodfa Bridge) ngắm chùa bên hữu ngạn và cho cá sông ăn. Ca nô quay lại sang tả ngạn đưa ta thăm Hoàng cung (Grand Palace Thailand). Tôi biết trước kia Memorial Bridge được dâng lên ở nhịp giữa như mái nhà Việt cho tầu bè qua lại, không biết bây giờ thế nào ?

| Chùa Arun (tiếng Thái: วัดอรุณ , Wat Arun) nằm trên bờ tây Chao Phraya River. Chùa có tên tiếng Việt Chùa Bình Minh. Đây là ngôi chùa cổ kính nhất của Bangkok. Khi vua Thakssin quyết định xây dựng kinh đô mới tại Thonburi ông đã tới đây vào một buổi bình minh. Vì vậy ông đổi tên nó là đền Wat Jang, "Jang" có nghĩa là sạch sẽ, sáng sủa của buổi bình minh. |
